CUNYfirst system at College of Staten Island

The CUNYfirst system has been introduced at the College of Staten Island and has already changed the way students register and faculty view class rosters and enroll in courses. The system also streamlines various administrative processes at the College of Staten Island. Students will no longer have to fill out multiple forms in order to register and get into class, which can be a time-consuming process.

A CUNYfirst student portal is available online. Students can log in to their CUNYfirst accounts using their email address, telephone number, and a password. For some programs, students must meet with the Program Coordinator before registering. The online portal also contains information on orientation dates.

Students who wish to sign in to M365 will be able to access their email accounts using their CUNYfirst credentials. This will allow students to move toward Single Sign On environments and eliminate the need for FLAS login credentials. This means students and faculty will no longer have to remember multiple sets of login credentials to access their email accounts.

To ensure that you can transfer your credits, you need to demonstrate you have met the requirements of your new college. John Jay generally recognizes credit recommendations made by ACE or NCCRS. The college also maintains a list of previously evaluated training. Additionally, students can request individualized evaluations for previous learning. In some cases, this will allow you to receive credit equivalent to a course in your major or minor program.
