These Are The 5 Major Changes You’ll See In POE 3.25 Settlers Of Kalguur!
Path of Exile players, take note! POE 3.25 Settlers of Kalguur will be officially released on July 26. The latest patch of the early version has been released, and the developers have introduced what new content and changes it will bring to players.
In its patch information, developer Grinding Gear Games (GGG) has more than 3,000 words of information, which seems to want to shake up the current game environment and pave the way for Path of Exile 2. But no matter what, Settlers of Kalguur, which will be released on the 26th, is what players are looking forward to.
Reworked Melee Classes
This change is a fundamental change for players who are used to the previous gameplay. All melee damage types are 100% more powerful in POE 3.25, as there are no melee totems in this patch.
In addition to the changes to a lot of totems and powers, banners have also been reworked. Instead of the previous system of pre-order costs and permanent buffs, banners are now completely free, but require you to switch them frequently to stay active. GGG has made banners much more effective now to compensate players for their previous costs.
Rage mechanic is almost completely different from the original design. Rage no longer provides you with multiple properties like before, but when you use it, your attack damage will increase by 1% for each point of Rage you gain. In addition, the cooldown of Rage has been increased, which prevents you from gaining Rage too often. But don’t worry, the developers have increased Rage generation to compensate for the above changes.
Finally, Retaliation skills replace counterattack abilities in the game. These skills are only available after your character meets certain conditions, most commonly skills related to being attacked or blocked. This will result in some skills that players liked, such as Reckoning, Reposte, and Vengeance, no longer being available.
The above changes to the gameplay mean that you will need to design some new builds in Path of Exile Settlers of Kalguur, or you can use your previous builds to modify them. Both are possible!
Added Gold Currency
Although GGG has never liked adding this type of POE currency to the game, the addition of this currency may bring an uncommon experience to players in POE 3.25. At present, the major function of gold only seems to be related to the towns in the game, which is also a new content added in Settlers of Kalguur, which we will talk about later.
So far, the chief function of gold seems to be related to the towns in the game, which is another new feature added in Settlers of Kalguur. You will use gold to build new buildings, pay workers’ wages, and complete maintenance and other improvements.
You can use this gold to build new buildings in the town, pay workers’ wages, or perform maintenance and other improvements to the town. Additionally, you have the option to use gold for re-evaluating your existing buildings and receiving random items. You can choose the item type and pay a random rarity. This system looks very similar to the gambling merchants in Last Epoch.
Knowing the various uses of gold in Settlers of Kalguur can save you a lot of construction time and increase the profitability of your town.
Old League Mechanics Return
Three League Mechanics are returning to Settlers of Kalguur – Affliction, Sentinel, and Mirrors of Kalandra. This means players will get more loot from maps, or even keep picking up an item.
Affliction mechanic allows you to collect some wisps while traversing a map, and the surrounding monsters will gain more powerful energy. Stronger enemies mean that you will pick up higher-level loot after fighting them. This is a mechanic that can be beneficial to you, but you need to be careful to control the strength of the enemies and not put yourself in danger.
Sentinel mechanic allows you to place an intractable construct on the map you are in. Each sentinel will increase the danger and reward level of the enemies you face, so again, like Affliction mechanic, don’t be greedy.
In addition, Mirror of Kalandra will also return to POE 3.25. This can be said to be the item that costs you the most POE Currency in this game, but it is also the most useful. You can use this to duplicate any item you own, making an exact copy of it. This is very useful for some consumable items.
Properly understanding how to interact with these returning mechanics in Settlers of Kalguur is important. If you are unsure of how to use them, you may find yourself getting much less loot than you otherwise would have.
New Town System
This may be a very novel mechanism for ARPG games. In Path of Exile, you will have your own town and you can also make money from it. In your town, you can build a building that can accommodate workers, businesses or other types of buildings. They will continue to run while you play the game, so you don’t have to worry about it.
This new mechanism of Settlers of Kalguur allows you to generate different types of additional POE Orbs outside of the game, whether you are AFK or running maps on your own. In this system, you can have workers mine, build or even run maps independently for you.
They will also go to the location you specify to collect certain ores or some materials, which saves you a lot of time looking for materials. Your gaming experience will also be greatly improved.
New Currency Market
In Path Of Exile 3.25, besides the new town system just now, a new currency market related to it has been added. Here you can trade any currency with other players at a certain exchange rate, for example, you can use Divine Orbs to exchange Chaos Orbs, or buy POE Currency to exchange Chaos Orbs.
While no in-game screenshots have been released for this system, many in the community agree that this will significantly reduce the cost of most currencies. This removes the barriers to trading currencies between players, allowing for more frequent in-game transactions.
This ease of currency exchange means that they will naturally depreciate, as gaining supply effectively increases supply. This will be further exacerbated by cross-platform trading within Path of Exile, but this has not yet been introduced. We expect to see this interoperability in the near future!
These are the five things that will change with Path Of Exile 3.25 Settlers of Kalguur, and we look forward to its official release on July 26th!
